Kooshey (Hello y'all)
Tommy and I greet all of you from Sierra Leone. We had a relaxing Saturday and spent the time preparing for the Colossians Workshop. As we talked with Michael we learned of certain areas that we should focus on during the teaching. Much to Tommy's chagrin this meant the addition of a few more slides to the powerpoint presentations. We have slept well both nights. God has provided us with cooler evenings and electricity that runs the fans in our rooms all night.
Today we enjoyed our time of worship with the body of Christ at Grace Center Bible Church. The message focused on the contrast between Peter and John in John 21. The emphasis was on faith-resting in what the Lord has done and doing for us rather than faith-resting in what we can do for the Lord. After the service we travelled down to the river (creek) for a baptism service. Eleven believers were baptized. The baptism took place at the bottom of the hill where the new Grace Center Bible Church is being constructed. (see pictures below)
