Hello to all,
As Tommy and I make our final preparations to depart, I thought I would thank everyone for their prayers and support. We will be leaving Thursday morning and with God's grace arrive in Freetown, Sierra Leone Friday afternoon. We will be five hours ahead of central time until day light savings time when we will be six hours ahead. Thus we will be eating lunch when most of you are still sleeping. We are excited about our time teaching through Colossians with the men we have been training now for five years. Please pray for them as the hours can get long during the week. Their eagerness to learn God's Word always energizes us as teachers. I will try to provide updated information as our trip progresses. The next update will come from Michael Turay's house after our arrival. Until then, please pray for safe travel. We will be flying from Nashville, TN; to Dulles Airport in D.C.; to Brussels, Belgium, and then to Freetown. Once we get to the Freetown airport we take a boat across the Atlantic backwaters to the mainland of Freetown. Michael picks us up and we drive up the mountain to his house. The drive is always an adventure on its own. Also please pray for our families while we are away from them. Again thank you all for your prayer support through which you partner in the ministry of God's Word.
Pressing on in Christ,
